This is ultimately what it is all about! There are two important angles when it comes to a low toxic body.
The first is that we need to be aware of and take action to lessen the toxins coming in from our food, water, cosmetics, and the environment.
The second is that we need to take action to skillfully remove the toxins that are already built upon our bodies by detoxification. Detox is important to do on an ongoing basis as the toxins are coming into our bodies daily. This approach to detox is much gentler and generally safer. For some, it is also essential to do a detox once or twice a year or in the face of illness that might be more intense.
Detoxification is something that I highly recommend working with a skilled practitioner for. If it is done improperly, detox can do more harm than good and people can become very sick by mobilizing toxins in the body, but not getting them out of the body. The piece that we will focus on here is creating a healthy environment in order to decrease the toxins coming in.
